Norma Baker
Norma graduated from the New Zealand College of Massage (NZCM) in 2002 with a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage and has worked at Takapuna Physiotherapy since then. She offers therapeutic massage which aims to release tension in muscle tissues, relaxation massage to relieve the stresses of everyday life, and lymphatic drainage which reduces oedema (swelling) in tissues. Norma is a registered remedial therapist with Massage New Zealand. She also teaches and assesses students in the certificate and diploma courses at the NZCM. Norma enjoys cycling, yoga and volunteer guiding on Tiri Tiri Matangi.
Tasha Downing
Tasha graduated from the New Zealand College of Massage in 2010 with a Diploma in Health Science (Therapeutic Massage) and is continuing her studies part-time to complete a Diploma in Sports and Clinical Therapy whilst she works here at Takapuna Physiotherapy.
She offers therapeutic treatment and specializes
in sports massage as she enjoys working with a variety of clients. Tasha
has a sporting background which includes netball, judo, running and surfing.
She believes it is important to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.
Lynda Sclater
Lynda has been working as a Massage Therapist at Takapuna Physiotherapy since 2006. She has a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage from the NZCM. Research proves that regular massage benefits you in many ways including reduction of stress, aches and pains, improved immune system and circulation. It also allows athletes to recover more quickly and enhance their performance. Lynda's treatments are therapeutic based and she enjoys working with her varying client needs. Sport and activity have always been a daily part of her life and she particularly enjoys running, cycling and yoga.
